LOOK AT WHAT I PLANTED...
....in the city.
....on a balcony.
Oregano.
Rosemary.
I have these potted herbs all along our balcony.
And I utilize them in cooking ALL of the time!
But our balcony is more than just an herb garden...
It is a little sanctuary.
A place to relax.
A place to visit.
A place to read.
And even though we are in downtown with this view....
...our balcony is SUCH a cozy outdoor space.
I like to bring some of my favorite things out to the balcony. Although, when we have a storm or high winds, I do have to drag them back inside. But, it's worth it.
This balcony is such an asset of additional living space in our Double-Wide in the Sky.
It was essential that we maximized its use to the fullest.
The mixed fabric patterns and colors provide a sense of a true living space.
It is soothing, but yet it adds a punch of vibrancy.
I kept the furniture neutral. Therefore, the pillows can be changed out whenever I want in whatever color and pattern I decide is needed for the moment. Such a simple way to totally transform the look.
I also mixed the materials of the furniture for added texture and interest:
wood, iron, metal, ceramic, glass, fiber and stone.
We even have a dining area.
We eat outside.... frequently.
It almost makes me forget I'm in the heart of the city.
Actually, it makes me enjoy the city even more!
I love our Double-Wide in the Sky balcony!
