Master Bedroom Revamp Reveal

Here it is.

My Master Bedroom Revamp Reveal!

But, if you know anything about me..... you know that I tweak things {ahem, revamp things}... A LOT.

A LOT!

But, this reveal is a little different.

This is one that has been written on my heart for a l-o-n-g time.

I have wanted to revamp my master bedroom in this type a way for a very VERY L-O-N-G time. Even before we moved to the Double-Wide in the Sky.

This is the bedroom I have ALWAYS WANTED!

It has been a work in progress.
A few new pieces added here and there.
A few new changes/updates here and there.

But, the one... THE ONE THING.... I have been waiting on.....
is that headboard!

YES!

THANK YOU, JESUS!
Seriously.
Thank you!

So, without further ado.....

Some things haven't changed. They have remained the same.

Revamped Black Dresser - DIY
Black Lacquer Lamp - HomeGoods
Silver Lamp - HomeGoods
Vintage Peacocks - Antique Store
Framed Fabric - Guatemala Market

Yellow Contemporary Painting - DIY
Vintage Brass Candelabras - Flea Market
Bird Lamps - HomeGoods

White Porcelain Vases - Flea Markets
Painted Console - The Dump

I LOVE the changes!

The headboard compliments the Martha Stewart Driftwood Gray paint color sooooo much.

The room is both soothing and very rich feeling.

I have wanted wall sconces for such a long time. They have such a polished, simple, but yet, elegant look. I always thought they would have to be hardwired.... but, I found these! They were on MAJOR clearance at Crate and Barrel and I was able to snag them along with clearance lampshades. They are plug ins and..... The mood-lighting from these puppies.... = perfection!

A win - win!

This room has been through A LOT of changes in the last year.

But, if you look at every season of change.... it has been geared to a more soothing and simple look.
I removed all the yellow {except the painting and the colors in the hand-painted piece}. But, the location of these pieces do not compete with anything else going on. The beauty of them can stand alone. And that is good.

Everything else, though, has a soothing and comforting flow.

As my kiddo says, "This bedroom feels like I'm suppose to sleep here for hours!"

That's right!

And that's what you want in a bedroom.
Something soothing, relaxing..... romantic.
A place where you can snuggle up with a cup of tea and a good book......
or a place you can turn on Frank Sinatra love songs and get a lil' sassy.

It's all good.... in my new Master Bedroom --- revamped!

  14. I have looked through your pictures multiple times. I love all of the details. The perfect amount of metallic and light and dark and the hits of yellow. No wonder you were so excited and thankful to have that gorgeous headboard! It is the exact one I would love to have in my master. I also love that you werent afraid to mix styles of furniture for a truly gorgeous reveal. (And i like that your console came from the dump!) Cant wait to look around more!!
